Inspired by farmers markets and Xmas craft fairs, the Baker’s Market features talented amateur and professional pastry chefs and bakers who create delicious, edible works of art. Mark these upcoming Saturdays down for “special editions” of Vancouver’s Baker’s Market (new location: Creekside Community Recreation Centre at 1 Athlete’s Way)

Nov. 20 & Nov. 27: delectable goodies like artisanal breads, scones, pain au chocolat, German pretzels, shortbread cookies, Parisian macarons, madeleines, cupcakes, marshmallows, chocolates, biscotti, organic vegan, gluten-free items.

Dec. 4 & Dec. 11: in addition to the above goodies, there will be Xmas and Holiday baked goods, like German Stollen, Christmas shortbread cookies, hand decorated sugar cookies, Christmas fruit cake, gingerbread cookies, gingerbread houses, biscotti, mince meat pies, butter tarts, pecan pies and much, much more.
Holiday Shopping Extravaganza at Heritage Hall (Nov 18, 2010)
The Holiday Shopping Extravaganza happens this Thursday November 18th from 6-11pm at the Heritage Hall (3102 Main St). Find style and gift inspiration from models walking through the crowd, plus add in a wine and beer cash bar, music, door prizes, and partial proceeds to benefit Doctors Without Borders. Free admission!
Circle Craft Christmas Market (Nov 17 to 21, 2010)
Modern Mix Vancouver’s first holiday post of the season!…as we enter into November, holiday craft fairs start to pop up all over Vancouver. The annual Circle Craft Christmas Fair attracts some 40,000 people eager to discover the creations of hundreds of Canadian artisans all of whom are jury-selected based on talent and diversity. This November, more artisans than ever, 270, will present their wares.

Got Craft? – holiday craft fair (Sunday December 6)
Featuring over 50 local vendors, Got Craft? has something handmade for everybody on your list from clothing to jewelry to art to ceramics and home décor. This year, Got Craft? will be happening on Sunday December 6, from 11am to 5pm at the Royal Grandview Legion (2205 Commercial Drive at E. 6th Avenue). The first 30 people through the door will receive a free, re-useable swag bag packed full of goodies from all of our vendors. Admission is $2, kids are free.
