If you’re looking for WHEAT Victoria clothing or planning a shopping stop in the city with kids, there’s a new destination in Downtown Victoria worth visiting. Danish kidswear brand WHEAT has opened its first-ever Canadian retail location right in the heart of the city, marking an exciting milestone for WHEAT Canada. WHEAT Victoria opened in Downtown Victoria in February 2026.

We spent the afternoon browsing WHEAT Kids’ Spring/Summer collection, fitting our two boys in practical raingear and rubber boots, and exploring the baby section for little ones under two for their baby sister. From everyday basics to soft hand-drawn prints, the collection felt thoughtfully designed with that signature Scandinavian balance of style, comfort, and durability.
WHEAT was founded in Denmark in 2002 by husband-and-wife duo Charlotte and Peter Galsgaard, who set out to create children’s clothing made with more natural fibres and fewer synthetic materials. Sustainability and ethical production remain central to the brand today, with a focus on organic cotton, recycled fabrics, and clothing designed to support children’s freedom of movement and everyday play.
The brand’s Scandinavian design roots are especially present in the details. Each season features hand-drawn prints inspired by nature, art, and family life, with founder and designer Charlotte Galsgaard citing Swedish artist Carl Larsson as a key influence on her work.

While WHEAT is now sold in more than 45 countries worldwide, the Canadian side of the business is family-run here on the West Coast of British Columbia. The Victoria store marks an exciting milestone for WHEAT Canada and adds a new shopping destination for families looking for Wheat Kids clothing in person.
If you’re searching for thoughtfully made kidswear that blends practicality with timeless Scandinavian design, WHEAT Victoria clothing is worth a stop on your next visit to the city.
