Board of Trade – now open in Chinatown/Strathcona

Earlier this September marked the grand opening celebration party of Vancouver’s latest fashion venture, The Board of Trade Co. Nestled on the edge of up-and-coming Chinatown, with neighbors such as The London Pub and Rhada Yoga, The Board of Trade adds a fashionable touch to area.

Purity’s texture is soft and creamy, with a slight sheen to it – it doesn’t foam when you scrub your face, but gives off a soapy texture. Its smooth, gentle and silky on the face. After using purity, I feel soft and clean, not oily, yet my skin doesn’t feel dry or tight at all.

Weekend Brunch Series – The Flying Pig (1168 Hamilton Street)

I had the Wild Mushroom, Asparagus Chevre Frittata ($10) which was served with organic greens. The presentation of the food was good – on a wooden butcher’s board with a handle. The salad was really fresh, with just the right amount of dressing. I thought I tasted some bits of salt in the mix, not sure if it was supposed to be there, but I liked it.
