Japanese casual apparel retailer UNIQLO will be opening its first store in the Greater Vancouver Area at Metropolis at Metrotown on Friday, October 6. Located at the Grand Court of the mall, this two-level store spans 20,800 sqft, and will be featuring men’s, women’s and kids’ clothing.
Recognized for its innovative functional apparel, as well as its high-quality wardrobe staples, UNIQLO will present a range of core items for men, women, kids and babies at its store. In addition to global signature items such as Ultra Light Down, HEATTECH, Cashmere, Extra Fine Merino, Jeans and Oxford Shirts, the store will carry the collaboration lines: “UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON” and “INES DE LA FRESSANGE” collections.
“Vancouver is a key city in Canada and internationally. We are excited to introduce the Greater Vancouver Area to our LifeWear products that are constantly improved to offer more warmth, more lightness and more comfort – as well as our exceptional value and customer service. It is a natural fit and progression for UNIQLO to open a store in this region. We believe that our simple yet innovative, high-quality clothing fits perfectly into the climate, culture and lifestyle of Vancouverites.” – Yasuhiro Hayashi, Chief Operating Officer, UNIQLO Canada.
The store will be the company’s third location in Canada, following the opening of two stores in Toronto last year.
