Throughout the month of October, you can drink BC craft beer while supporting the local firefighters in our community at the same time.
In celebration of BC Craft Beer Month and National Fire Prevention Week, Steamworks Brewing Company has created a new limited-edition Firefighters Charity Ale appropriately named Heroica Red Ale. For the month of October, every Steamworks brew sold will benefit the BC Firefighters Charities.
Heroica Red Ale is sessionable red ale with beautiful citrus and pine notes from the additions of centennial, citra, and simcoe hops. Smooth and velvety in the mouth with toasted malts giving it a medium body with hints of roasted hazelnut, toffee, and caramel malt flavours. It is a tribute to the every day local heroes in our communities and lives.
Craft beer lovers can enjoy Heroica Red Ale in 650mL bottles, the Steamworks Mashup 12-pack mixer (with Black Angel IPA and Pale Ale) from liquor stores across the province, or on-tap and in growlers at Steamworks Brewpub or Steamworks Brewery & Taproom in Burnaby while quantities last.
Steamworks will donate $0.50 per Pilsner & Pale Ale 6-pack, Mashup 12-pack, and 650ml Heroica Red Ale bomber during the month of October. In addition, Steamworks will give $0.10 from every pint poured in participating licensed establishments.
