EVENT: Celebrate an Oktoberfest Experience with Steam Whistle (Sep 20, 2014)

With Vancouver’s love of beer, especially craft beer, it’s no surprise that Oktoberfest events are popping up around our city.  On September 20th, Steam Whistle Brewery is hosting their second annual traditional Oktoberfest Party at The Imperial (319 Main Street) at 8 p.m.

Despite being a brewery based out of Toronto, they have scoured our province to find us local entertainment which reflects German heritage.  Enjoy folk music by local The Rheinlander Oom-pah Band and entertainment by the AVC Edelweiss Dancers from the Austria Vancouver Club in Richmond.   Savour the mouthwatering food and divine sausage by Vancouver’s own Bestie and party into the night with music by DJ Mike Woodhouse.

This is our 2nd year celebrating Oktoberfest in Vancouver and we’re focused on bringing to life the camaraderie, food, folk culture, fun, traditional costumes and beer that Germany is renowned for. We’re inviting craft beer lovers to join in Steam Whistle’s take on this beer celebration.” – James Foran, Steam Whistle Brewing

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Each ticket comes with a souvenir ½ litre ceramic stein to cheer this renowned beer festival.

If you miss the September 20 event, you can still purchase a collectible Steam Whistler Oktoberfest beer stein from The Lamplighter, The Butcher and Bullock, The New Oxford, The Bimini and The Blackbird.
