One of the perks of being a lifestyle blogger in Vancouver is that we often get to take a sneak peek at various products, collections and services before they are available the the public. This means that for us, the holiday season typically begins at summer’s end. This year, we saw our first Christmas tree of the year at the Chapters Indigo “Joyful Traditions” holiday preview party and wanted to give our readers a sneak peek of what we saw.
One of the rooms in the Rosewood Hotel Georgia was fully decked out in holiday attire, and we were walked through the two main themes for the upcoming holiday season:
- Soft Pastels – Soft and feminine, you’ll see cozy shades of snow white, pastel pink and soft grey. Great gift ideas for the women in your life – a book bag for your classmate, a pair of wooly gloves for mom, a zipped pouch with gold accents for your sister. The beauty of shopping at Chapters Indigo is that their curated picks are so widely appealing.
- Cozy Canadian – Expect to see wildlife printed on rustic, burlap-esque cushions, faux-fur and lumberjack patterned blankets, all of which actually reminds us of the “Heritage” theme we saw at West Elm last fall. Everything within this theme would fit in perfectly at an apres-ski cabin with the fire roaring in the winter (or at least that TV station with the fireplace).
Chapters Indigo is no longer just a book store, rather, an extensive one-stop-shop for stylish fashion, home and lifestyle picks. In addition to the above themes, there was a full set-up of trendy drinkware and table decor on display and novelty gift items.
Scroll left and right through the slideshow above to take a peek. When the Chapters Indigo holiday collection launches on November 3, 2014, you’ll be well on your way to making a list and checking it twice for who’s naughty or nice.
