Ole Originals – Hand-Printed T-shirts & MMV Giveaway for a Retro Vancouver T-Shirt
Ole Originals was started over 4 years ago by Chandler Herbut, who wanted to make something for the “bored looking dudes at craft shows”. Most recently, Ole Originals launches ‘Places’ a new lines of hand printed t-shirts, allowing stylish ladies and gents to show their civic and provincial pride without looking like a tourist! Some of the places featured are Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, BC, Saskatoon and Alberta. All designs capture the iconic images that embody the culture and way of life. Chandler says his inspiration was “to give customers a cool shirt that they can wear and show o their pride for a particular place.” Ole Places T’s are conversation starters too because the naturally break the ice and show the world a city or province that has meaning to you.
Despite the rapid growth of Ole Originals, Chandler still silkscreens every t-shirt himself in his East Van studio. “Quality is so important to me so I like to be in 100% control of how each Ole Original turns out from start to finish,” he explains.
For the Vancouver t-shirt design, the retro logo was actually based on the former logo a well-known charity, the Union Gospel Mission (UGM). With this shirt in particular, Ole Originals is following the TOMS “one for one” model. To better the community, for every Vancouver shirt sold, Ole Originals will donate an Ole shirt to the UGM. T-shirts can be bought online at oleoriginals.com with only $3 shipping to Canada/USA.
