If you’ve been to YVR Airport recently, you may have noticed lots of British signage and displays. Britain has recently been celebrated all over Canada with the launch of Virgin flights, Richard Branson’s visit, the Royals touring Toronto – plus a series of celebrations surrounding the UK ‘GREAT Campaign.’ The GREAT campaign invites the world to experience what Britain has to offer. It celebrates British excellence in technology and innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, knowledge, green growth, heritage, sport, shopping, music and countryside.
In Vancouver, The GREAT Campaign came to life at YVR Airport yesterday with a surprise flash mob. Hundreds of international travelers were treated to a surprise flash dance performance with dancers dressed as the Spice Girls, The Beatles, Austin Powers, David Beckham, Elton John and Harry Potter, alongside Union Jack T-Shirts.
