Toronto’s Beauty Franchise “The Ten Spot” Opens First Vancouver Location in Yaletown

The Ten Spot is a beauty bar franchise based out of Toronto, which just opened its first Vancouver location in Yaletown on Mainland Street. Since 2006, The Ten Spot has been known as a one-stop shop for beauty services: from manicures and pedicures, to waxing, to facials.

Modern Mix Vancouver was one of the first to experience the services of The Ten Spot in Yaletown.  We were thrilled to see that both OPI and Essie were options for polish brands (in addition to the in-house “Get Nailed” line) and went with an Essie Gel Manicure with nail art:

Prices are consistent across The Ten Spot locations across Canada, and reasonable by Vancouver standards, beginning at $22 for a basic, Quickie Manicure, and $45 for a Gel Manicure.

Waxing is also offered at The Ten Spot, with private rooms all equipped with Apple TV so you can watch part of your favourite flick as the service is being done. Hard wax is used for the Brazilly ($50) and Thongkini ($40) service, which The Ten Spot believes to be better for sensitive areas as it attaches itself only to the hair (even shorter, more coarse hair), rather than the skin.  As a result, this minimizes discomfort and reduces the possibility of skin irritation and lifting.

Other services include facials with Dermalogica products and lash and brow tinting.

With high standards for consistent service, skilled aestheticians, impeccable cleanliness and reasonable pricing, there’s no reason not to make The The Spot your next destination for beauty services.  For more information, visit: the10spot.com, or in person at 1006 Mainland Street.
