I’m no beauty expert, but I am a girl with chapped lips. Inspired by the freezing Vancouver weather and being snowed-in at home, I decided to come up with my own list of products to help chapped lips in the winter. Unlike my Mac lipglass and Chanel lipgloss (great color choices, crappy moisturizer), the below are my personal top three picks and the first products I reach for when my lips go dry and bizerk in the winter weather.
1) Bigelow & Co Rose Salve $5.50
Packaged in a cute vintage/retro tin, the rose salve has the consistency of petroleum Jelly (ie. Vaseline) with a slight rose scent from its 0.9% rose extract. This product actually places #1 on the Bigelow Chemists top-sellers’ list….

So, this morning, on The Beat 94.5, they played a Mashup of Billboard’s Top 25 Pop Hits of 2008. DJ Earworm (pretty horrible name, eh? - sorry) used Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” as the background track and described the “Viva La Pop” mashup as a “symphonic feel”. It’s actually quite good and unusual for pop songs to be mixed together like this. I suppose it’s something different and refreshing from listening to Armin Van Buuren’s trance yearmix non-stop. Experience in the fashion industry is not completely necessary but is a huge plus - it’s a lot easier to organize something of this magnitude when we have a team of people on board who understand how the industry works and what is required of them in that respect.

I went to the Vancouver Art Gallery today to check out their “WACK! Art and the Feminist Revolution” exhibition. In the corner of the second floor, there is this big garbage tree (excuse my lack of eloquence) that visitors are encouraged to interact with by either adding something or taking something way.
