I’m someone who has always loved the hair wash and head massage part of a haircut — a “Head Spa” treatment is an entire hour of that and more. Treatments are done laying down, with your head comfortably over a sink, and a variety of head massage tools are used to maximize relaxation. Both are known for their “waterfall” head spa, a U-shaped frame that brings a waterfall-like waterflow to help massage the scalp in all directions.
I’ve been to Nu Spa in Vancouver and Chillax Spa in Burnaby. Both times I left with very clean, soft and fluffy hair. One thing to note is I’m not sure how well this treatment would be for curly hair types! I can only speak for myself and my straight, thick, Asian hair but I’ve heard from others that if you have curly or wavy hair, the treatment results may leave your hair overly voluminous or frizzy.
