FASHION Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Beauty Awards are back for their 8th year! Every year, FASHION asks its lovely, savvy readers, and beauty enthusiasts everywhere, to vote for their top products—from the perfect red lipstick, to the cream they adore, to their fave pampering spot…all of their beauty must-haves. The votes are then tabulated from the thousands of contributions and are announced in an upcoming issue of the magazine.

Spend on Trend (Friday Aug. 21st to Sunday Aug. 23rd)

Spend on Trend is back. Shop local at this Canadian designer event at the Scotiabank Dance Center (677 Davie Street at Granville) from Friday August 21st until Sunday August 23rd. Brands including Catalyst Reaction, Davie and Chiyo, Nate Organics, Togs Design, Filou Designs, Megan Kathryn, Two of Hearts and many more will be featured at this event. The first 25 people through the door each day will receive a gift bag which includes a copy of FASHION Magazine. Tickets at $5 and are available at the door. Holt Renfrew – Styling Competition (with FASHION Magazine) (May 30, 2009)

Stop by Holt Renfrew (737 Dunsmuir Street) on May 30th between 1pm and 4pm to enter a styling competition in partnership with FASHION magazine:

Clients are invited to bring a friend (as their model) and dress them (“style them”) in Holt Renfrew contemporary fashions.
Once the customer is dressed up they are walked over to the FASHION magazine cover photo board where they will get their photo taken in a “live photo shoot!”
The customer will receive their photo in a contemporary Saturday photo card and a copy of the photo will be posted on the photo board.

FASHION magazine representatives will be on hand to observe the styling and hand out magazines to our clients. At the end of the day the editor of FASHION magazine will choose the winning look. The winner will be contacted on Monday June 1st for a prize of $500.00 in a Holt Renfrew Electronic Gift Card.
