With a tagline of “the Golden Age of Steak”, the Glowbal Group’s newest restaurant BLACK + BLUE (1032 Alberni Street) is almost ready to be revealed to the public. I’m loving the gold trim in the restaurant, the high-back cushioned booths, and the lovely glowing chandelier.
Timeraiser 2011 – the results are in
In September, the Vancouver Timeraiser had 275+ attendees at its 4th annual event. The event’s basic premise is that attendees bid on the work of local artists in a silent auction, but instead of spending dollars, they are to pledge volunteer hours over the next year to receive the artwork.

QUEENS get the money for breast cancer (Oct 17 to 31, 2011)
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, QUEENS boutique (12 E. Cordova) in Gastown is set to launch their ‘Queens Get The Money’ charity drive starting October 17th and running until October 31st. With proceeds from boutique sales, nails services as well as welcoming any and all donations, Queens aims to raise $3,500 for breast cancer research within the two-week event.
