When looking at a pair of shoes, it is easy to determine whether they are versatile if you know what to look for. Here are a few key factors that will help you determine if a pair of shoes will become a staple in your wardrobe.
Shape
The first thing you should look at is the shape. While this doesn’t apply to shoes like sneakers that often, it does to sandals, heels, and boots. It is also something that can often be fairly subjective. Heels, for instance, that have a super-sharp point and a giant bow on them wouldn’t be something you wear every day. In comparison, a more “generic” shaped heel can be something you wear to work, lunch, or on a date.
Material
The material of any shoe will determine its longevity, as well as its versatility throughout the year and the changing seasons. For instance, lightweight and breathable materials are perfect for Summer, but your feet will freeze in the Winter.
