A Pair of Converse Sneakers

Women’s Shoes That Goes With Everything

Finding a pair of shoes that go with every outfit and occasion may seem like an impossible task, but it is far easier than you may think. Here are a few different types of shoes that are ideal for almost any occasion.

White Sneakers

First off, you need a pair of white sneakers. Whether it be a pair of Converse shoes, Nikes, or anything you may like. White sneakers are ideal for every outfit, from a simple top and jeans to a mini skirt or dress for a night out.

Black Platform Loafers

Black platform loafers are a pair of shoes designed for the working, in-office individual. Not only are they comfortable and relaxed, but they can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the situation.  They can be worn with formal summer outfits, both in the office and not, and casual winter outfits, as leather loafers keep the heat in and keep your feet warm.

Boots

Whether it be a pair of Chelsea boots or Dr. Martens, a good pair of boots can not only be worn with multiple outfits and within multiple styles but can also last several years without needing to be replaced.  A brown pair of ankle boots work well with formal or boho chic looks, while a black pair of Dr. Martens or combat boots can be worn with pants, a dress, or a skirt and add an edge to anything they are paired with.

Heeled Mules

Similar to the black loafers, heeled mules are another simple yet chic pair of shoes that you can wear all day, every day, no matter where you go or what you do. They most certainly shine their brightest during Summer, as you get that ultra-stylish leather look, but with an open back keeping your feet cool. The heel adds a touch of elegance, and if you buy a pair in black or brown, you will most likely not need any more.

Flat Sandals

Every woman needs at least one pair of sandals. Whether they be Birkenstocks or something more strappy, sandals are one of the best shoes you can wear for all of your Summer and warmer months adventures. When choosing a pair, opt for something that is higher quality, as poorly made sandals are going to break very quickly, especially considering how often you will be wearing them.

Walking Boots

Finally, if you love to be in the great outdoors, you need a pair of walking boots. While, on the surface, they aren’t as versatile as they may seem, tons of incredibly stylish options will allow you to wear these boots not only on the trail but also doing almost anything else.

How to Know a Shoe is Versatile

When looking at a pair of shoes, it is easy to determine whether they are versatile if you know what to look for. Here are a few key factors that will help you determine if a pair of shoes will become a staple in your wardrobe.

Shape

The first thing you should look at is the shape. While this doesn’t apply to shoes like sneakers that often, it does to sandals, heels, and boots. It is also something that can often be fairly subjective. Heels, for instance, that have a super-sharp point and a giant bow on them wouldn’t be something you wear every day. In comparison, a more “generic” shaped heel can be something you wear to work, lunch, or on a date.

Material

The material of any shoe will determine its longevity, as well as its versatility throughout the year and the changing seasons. For instance, lightweight and breathable materials are perfect for Summer, but your feet will freeze in the Winter.  Choose materials that are slap-bang in the middle, not too hot or cold, breathable, but offer protection.

All-Terrain Abilities

By “all-terrain,” we aren’t talking about tires, but rather how many places you can wear the shoes. A great example is high heels; they may be great for a slow walk around a restaurant, but they aren’t that good for extended walks, driving, at the club, etc.  While this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t own shoes that are a bit more situation-specific, it does mean you should pay more attention to having the options in your closet.

Color

Color is one of the most important factors to consider. A bright lime green pair of sneakers can’t be worn with as many outfits as a pair of white sneakers, for example. Because of this, it is best to build your shoe collection with a base filled with neutrals.  White, black, grey, and brown are all colors that will work with almost any outfit and outfit color palette.

Comfort

Finally, you always need to pay close attention to comfort. While this may sound obvious, it can be hard to judge when you first buy the shoes. To give yourself the best chance of finding a comfortable pair, choose softer materials, heels that aren’t too high, etc.
