Fed Menu: Full Nutrition Meal Plan
I tried the “Full Nutrition” meal plan from Fed for two days and here’s what I ate from the Fed menu:
- Pumpkin Pie Overnight Oats + Fruit Cup
- Zesty Lemon Chicken over Couscous
- Orange Salmon with Red Pepper Rice Pilaf
- Spinach and Egg Breakfast Bowl with Country Potatoes + Fruit Cup
- BBQ Pulled Pork with Coleslaw & Black Beans
- Pesto Pasta with Beef
There’s always something new and exciting for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as Fed has a no-repeat-meal commitment. They will even adapt to your dietary restrictions – for example, I had the salmon replaced with chicken, due to a personal dietary preference.
Fed Meal Delivery Review
Fed started with the realization of how important food is for our health and longevity; our diet being the single biggest determinant of our non-genetic health.
What I appreciate about Fed is how meticulously their team works behind the scenes to ensure you’re getting 100% of your daily nutrition (as recommended by Health Canada’s RDAs for adults). If you’re filling yourself with balanced meals that nourish, it’ll help your body function optimally: boosting energy levels, providing clarity of body and mind, and improving your overall health and longevity.
Fed tracks 30 nutrients in every meal including: Vitamins A, B, C, D, E, Vitamin K, Iron, Calcium, Zinc, Selenium and Copper, Magnesium and Phosphorus, Potassium, Carbohydrates, Fibre, and Fats.
At first, I thought the portions from Fed were too small – I’m used to eating meals twice the size (plus snacks all day!) from what they delivered. But as I ate their meals, I realized I was getting full from them, and any cravings I had beyond what was delivered was probably from unhealthy snacking habits and munching on empty calories.
In Canada, 5 in 10 women and 7 in 10 men have energy intakes that exceed their energy needs, which has led to an increased prevalence in being overweight. We are over fed yet undernourished, throwing our nutritional needs off balance.
The meals I tried from Fed were simple, fresh and tasty, with in-season ingredients sourced locally where possible, leading me to think that if you’re eating balanced meals, you don’t have to consume nearly as much as you’d expect. Beyond the meals themselves, I also appreciated the convenience factor of Fed, and how meals delivered directly to my door with no prep work required and no dishes to wash, saves me time throughout the day.
Even trying out Fed’s meal plans for only two days has led me to rethink my own eating habits and find a better balance in my own food habits. I enjoyed this food reset I had from Fed, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a healthy meal delivery service in Vancouver.
