The Vancouver Aquarium is hosting a special Halloween edition of their adults-only Afterhours event. Spend October 31 with creepies, crawlies, and things that go bump in the night — like slithery snakes, electric eels and their hair-raising display, spiky sea urchins, or a sea lion heaving itself out of the water. Maybe you’ll even be lucky (or unlucky!) enough to encounter a hungry piranha or a tarantula with tingling spidey senses.
Hunker down in the darkness and watch A Reef Reborn: 4D. Revisit (and reassess) your fear of sharks as you listen to an interpretive talk about these cartilaginous creatures of the deep.
But hey, don’t be nervous, guys and ghouls. This 19+ event at the Vancouver Aquarium has a bar and food available to quell your nerves. That pale fellow, eying your neck? Don’t worry — he’ll be back in his habitat by sunrise.
