MARKET: Everything Under $50 at Nifty for Fifty’s Milestone 10 Year Anniversary (April 9, 2017)

On Sunday, April 9, 30 local designers are offering deep discounts at the 10th annual Nifty for Fifty sale at Heritage Hall on Main Street.  The annual event, which started out with 12 designers in 2007, has now grown to 30 sellers with over 3,000 shoppers attending this one day sale.  With everything priced at $50 or less, Nifty for Fifty offers the Vancouver community to meet and support local, independent clothing designers, makers and jewellers without breaking the bank

Returning designers to this popular market include Adhesif Clothing, Allison Wonderland and Erin Templeton.  New designers to the 2017 market include makers from all across British Columbia including:

  • Black Bird Studios, nature inspired ceramics (Gabriola Island);
  • Carolyn Bruce Designs, jewellery designer (Vancouver);
  • K-O.ME Clothing, unique clothing for EVERY body (North Vancouver);
  • Lana Betty, minimal gold and silver 3D printed jewellery (Vancouver);
  • Scandinazn Handmade Goods, repurposed leather designs (Vancouver);
  • Torn Clothing, sustainable fashion for women (Squamish);
  • Two of Hearts Boutique, women’s wear (Vancouver);
  • Wallis Evera, modern hemp business wear (South Delta);
  • Windsong Jewellery Design, elegant hand-fabricated artisan jewellery (Coquitlam);
  • Winterluxe, recycled Cashmere (Vancouver).

Celebrating the 10th year of Nifty for Fifty, the sale will feature locally made refreshments by Mixers and Elixirs as well as a live music with DJ Emmanuel Ferreira.  Cash is king at this one day sale; many designers will only accept cash for payment.
