Mt Seymour Cold Weather Clothing Drive for New Refugees in Time for “First Snow” Event

On Sunday, April 3, Mt Seymour and the Immigrant Services Society of Canada will partner up with Lynch Bus Tours to help families experience the beauty of the West Coast. From 11am to 3pm, Mt Seymour  will offer complimentary tobogganing, tubing and guided snowshoe tours for refugee families.  This event for the new refugee families is appropriately named “First Snow“, and will allow for attendees to experience Vancouver’s beautiful Northshore mountains for the first time.

How can Vancouverites help with this event?  Mt Seymour is currently encouraging for locals like us to donate lightly worn winter clothing, such as jackets, winter boots and gloves, which will be given to the guests to bundle up in as they enjoy the fun in cold weather.  In addition to cold-weather apparel, you can also donate children’s books.
