Vancouver Tea Society has just announced that their flagship event, the immensely successful Vancouver Tea Festival, is returning November 21, 2015 to a new, larger venue: East Vancouver’s Croatian Cultural Centre.
Founded in 2013, the Vancouver Tea Festival is an annual, public-oriented celebration of tea and tea culture. Its aim is to connect local tea enterprises with tea aficionados and novices alike, as well as to be a fun and convivial forum for tea education via workshops, seminars, and tastings. The Vancouver Tea Festival is entirely volunteer-run, with net proceeds distributed to local charities.
Modern Mix Vancouver had attended the Vancouver Tea Society’s first event back in 2013. If you were one of the 3,500 attendees there, you may have remembered long line ups both inside and out of the Creekside Community Centre. Building on feedback received following the 2013 Vancouver Tea Festival, improvements planned for the 2015 event includes extended hours (10 AM – 6 PM), a larger venue with substantially greater floor space, more educational sessions and a full day of focused tea tastings featuring local tea enterprises.
Exhibitors include Tea Sparrow, The Teaspot, Amoda Tea, Ichiyo’s Matcha Bar, Aromatica Fine Teas, The Teaguy, O5 Tea, JusTea, and more.
