Guests at Dinner en Blanc this week probably didn’t expect to be attending a wedding that evening too!
Diner en Blanc guests were surprised and delighted when a pop-up wedding ceremony took place midway through the event. Abbotsford couple Rachel Steinebach and Sam Merrell tied the knot against an iconic Vancouver backdrop at Canada Place. This was the biggest wedding in British Columbia’s history, with 4,500 guests witnessing the vows, all dressed in white.
The wedding was presented by Indochino, a Vancouver-based leader in custom menswear. The groom, groomsmen and father of the bride were all dressed in Indochino’s one-of-a-kind custom suits, shirts and accessories from its Diner en Blanc collection.
“Last year, Rachel saw pictures of Diner en Blanc and said she would give anything to be there. We never thought we would get the opportunity to go to Diner en Blanc, let alone get married at it!” – Samuel Merrell, Groom.
Congrats to the newlyweds!
