Modern Mix Vancouver recently went on a day-trip to the Fraser Valley, checking out attractions in Langley, Abbotsford and Chilliwack. Maan Farms in Abbotsford was our most family-friendly stop of the day.
For the adults, there’s a grocery and produce shop and eatery up front and a wine tasting area where you can try four fruity dessert wines (raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry) and buy your favourite bottle(s).
The highlight, however, was being a kid again, climbing up on real tractors, chasing rabbits and, my favourite part, visiting the small petting zoo with llamas, goats (who live in the “Goatel 6”), a miniature horse, a peacock, a turkey, and my favourite: two potbelly pigs named Bristle and Spike.
