In celebration of Chinese New Year, FlyOver Canada will once again be presenting the special return of Flight of the Dragon, on now until March 5 at Canada Place. Located at the site of the former IMAX theatre at Canada Place, FlyOver Canada is an immersive, state-of-the-art attraction using technology to replicate the experience of unfettered flight. Securely strapped into their ride seats, with legs dangling below, guests are fully encompassed by a massive 19-metre spherical screen, as they tilt, dip, and dive across magnificent vistas.
For the special edition screening of Flight of the Dragon, riders will soar over China’s spectacular cities and vistas, flying above Shanghai, the snow-peaked Himalayas and the Great Wall, before immediately lifting off again for an iconic flight over Canada. As riders soar over golden fields, towering forests, and cascading waterfalls, refreshing breezes, scents, and mists further stimulate the senses.

The sights shared in the film were captured through the use of a custom camera system rigged to the nose of a helicopter. FlyOver Canada and its technology partners travelled across the country to capture the remarkable landscapes and locations that are showcased in the one-of-a-kind attraction. FlyOver Canada opened its doors in June 2013, and since then has welcomed more than 700,000 guests through its doors to experience the incomparable attraction.
