EVENT: 2014 Eastside Culture Crawl (Nov 20 – 23)

The 18th annual Eastside Culture Crawl is a four-day celebration of art and expression, which takes places in studios, homes and garages, in Vancouver’s Eastside.  The annual festival brings thousands of visitors to the area bounded by Main Street, 1st Avenue, Victoria Drive, and the waterfront to meet an impressive array of local painters, jewelers, sculptors, potters, photographers, glassblowers, furniture designers, and more.

“The Crawl is a singular experience that removes the barriers between artist and public – allowing creators to showcase their work, answer questions, and share their unique art-making process.  This open invitation into artists’ studios represents a remarkable opportunity for individuals to enhance their understanding of the visual arts and deepen their appreciation for the incredible abundance of talent within our city.” – Esther Rausenberg, Executive Director, East Side Culture Crawl

Over the past 18 years, the Eastside Culture Crawl has become an intensely anticipated milestone in the city’s cultural calendar. The 2014 event will see over 375 artists displaying and showcasing their art and the art-making process in 70 buildings.

Members of the public can plan and navigate their weekend via an interactive map on the Eastside Culture Crawl website.
