Spring & Summer Outdoor Activities in Vancouver (Sponsored Post)

As the Spring and Summer sunshine starts to show in our city, here are three outdoor activities you can look forward to in Vancouver.

Biking the Seawall

In my opinion, the safest area in Vancouver to go biking must be the Seawall.  The smooth, paved bike and pedestrians-only trail takes you on a loop around Stanley Park, with multiple scenic stops along the way. For those of you without a bike, there are numerous bike rental shops in the Coal Harbour area, such as on the corner of Denman and West Georgia.

City Kayaking

False Creek is one of my favourite places to go urban kayaking.  Bordered by Science World, Granville Island and Downtown Vancouver, you can participate in a water activity, without having to venture out of the city. I recommend going to Creekside Kayak in Olympic Village for your rental.

Street Hockey

Bring a hockey stick and a canned food donation, and join “Five Hole For Food” on July 19th in downtown Vancouver for an afternoon of street hockey, benefitting the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.  Or, if you would rather watch professional hockey rather than play, you can read up on game highlights, stay up to date on NHL hockey news in the comfort of your own home.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for beautiful Spring and Summer weather in Vancouver!
