In celebration of Vancouver’s 125th Birthday, TEES.ca will be displaying a t-shirt exhibition and art show simply called “125”. Local artists were asked to create fresh, original designs to reflect and celebrate “Lotusland” as they see it. These aren’t your grandma’s tourist t-shirts! Poppy modern designs combined with subtle local references make these t-shirts unique but close to heart. The “125” Art Show will be at 227 Abbott Street in Gastown on Friday June 3rd from 6pm to 10pm.

At the beginning of spring, I went to a press event for BCBGMAXAZRIA to see what trends were in store for the upcoming 2011 season. I was also the lucky winner of a $1000 shopping spree to BCBGMAXAZRIA (which I have mostly spent) so I am well-equipped and greatly familiar with BCBGMAXAZRIA’s Spring 2011 collection.
The BCBGMAXAZRIA colour trend for 2011 consists of an overall dusty pastel pink, grey, white and cream color scheme. Various contrasting feminine materials were set side by side in comparison: eyelet and stiff lace patterns in feminine tops, tulle paired with lace and large floral patterns.
Add a spark of colour and style with the “Luminous Gloss Stick” by Quo, the in-house cosmetic brand exclusive to Shopper’s Drug Mart. Surprisingly lightweight, the gloss stick glides easily on the lips.
