David Guetta – at The Commodore (December 30)

Tickets go on sale on TIcketmaster on Wednesday November 25th for DJ David Guetta’s show at the Commodore on December 30th. I’m going to guess (emphasis: guess) that tickets will almost be $100 considering David’s Guetta new DJ Mag status as #3 DJ, the cost of renting out the Commodore, and Ticketmaster charges…..

Aritzia – 25th Anniversary Sale (Nov. 18 to 20th)

2009 marks the 25th anniversary of Canadian fashion retail chain, Aritzia. From now until Sunday November 22, they are having a sale to celebrate this occasion. I stopped by the Pacific Centre branch today and I didn’t think there were outrageously good deals. The usual 10% off house brands (TNA, Talula, Wilfred, etc.) The best deals I came across were 30% off UGG Boots and Rock & Republic Jeans for $150.

Make It Vancouver (Nov 20 to 22nd)

Make It Vancouver is back again from November 20 to 22nd, this time at The Croatian Cultural Centre.

Our Vancouver show will feature almost 100 of the hottest, hippest and coolest designers in Western Canada! Because Make It is like a mullet; craft show in the front, party in the back we will have a bar and DJ Leanne spinning all weekend. This is the perfect place to shop, socialize and enjoy how darn talented emerging designers really are.

Wear Else – model search (ends December 15)

If you’ve ever caught yourself (or a friend) treating the sidewalk like a runway, the “Wear Else New Face Contest” is for you. Simply email Wear Else your picture and a line or two on why you think you, or someone you know, should be the new face of Wear Else. Ten finalists will be invited for a professional styling and photo shoot, and the finalists’ best pictures will be posted on the Wear Else website, where shoppers and fans can vote for a winner.

What’s in it for you? The winner will not only receive a $2,500 shopping spree, photo shoot and VIP status at Wear Else, but she’ll also be featured in a Wear Else advertising campaign, on the website and on any television appearances.
