3 Record Shops to Check Out in Vancouver & MMV Giveaway for Beats By Dr. Dre In-Ear Headphones (Sponsored Post)

Let’s take a blast from the past and check out some notable record shops which are still in Vancouver.

  • Neptune Records – as Vancouver’s oldest independent record store since 1981, Neptune Records has the largest selection of new and used vinyl in the city, as well as a selection of CDs, concert posters and memorabilia.
  • Zulu Records – located in Kitsilano, not only does Zulu Records sell new and used vinyl, there is also a huge selection of CDs.  There are listening stations at the store so you can preview before you buy.
  • Beat Street Records – opened in 1996 originally as a skateboard, clothing and lifestyle store, Beat Street quickly evolved into a record store.  You can also buy concert tickets to events in the city.

When you’re done your trip down memory lane, you can return to the present world of music and technology and plug into your favourite tunes by winning a new pair of Beats By Dr. Dre In-Ear Headphones.

  1. I have so many favourites, but since I have to pick just one, I guess I’ll just go with one of the most recent – Sweet Sour by Band of Skulls.

  2. Somebody I used to know – Goyte The video is very emotional, especially when Kimbra starts to sign to Goyte. The raw emotion that you can see in her almost brings me to tears.

  3. by Steppenwolf – Born to be wild! a great song when cruising on a road trip in my convertible, hair blowing in the breeze!

  4. My fave song is by Wham! Wake up before you gogo. Stuck in the 80’s hit. ( George Michael and Andrew Ridgely).
I really need the dee headphones to bring me up-to-date.

  5. Have so many to pick from…umm… how about “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen Or “Lady Of Shallot” by Loreena Mckennitt
