I think the new trend is specialty ‘fusion’ sushi…I made that up :) But it’s essentially a sushi restaurant creating specialty rolls that are different than the regular (ie california, tuna / salmon, bc roll). Like finding specialty rolls such as Kerrisdale, Canuck, Kitsilano, etc etc. I definitely like the uniqueness…even though sometimes they are a miss..

Sushi King on granville has big sushi as does ban zai in richmond! Ban zai has massive sashimi
