Imaginus Poster Sale at UBC

Submitted by on January 7, 2009 – 5:22 pm2 Comments |

It’s that time of year again; the beginning of term where Imaginus brings a gigantic display of posters for sale at the Student Union Building at UBC. Adding to my Andy Warhol 11 x 14 inch poster collection, I purchased another two this afternoon. $8 each + tax, but Friday is the last day the posters will be on sale at the SUB. With a pink/black pop-art style image of Andy Warhol wearing hipster sunglasses, bold white text on top states: “the idea of waiting for something makes it more exciting“. So true, so true. The other captions I have in the series include:

  • art is what you can get away with
  • i think everybody should like everybody
  • the world facinates me
  • but i always say, one’s company, two’s a crowd and three’s a party
  • i wonder if it’s possible to have a love affair that lasts forever
