Scalawags by Jim Christy – book launch (December 11, 2008)
NUVO Magazine is a quarterly lifestyle magazine for the Canadian sophisticate with a circulation of over 1.2 million national readers. I first became aware of this magazine when I did a marketing project with regards to consumer behavior towards the magazine’s eye-catching, full spread advertisements which most definitely reflect the affluent readership of this magazine.
But besides the advertisements, since 2000, author Jim Christy has been entertaining NUVO readers with the historical lives of colorful and international scoundrels with his column Scalawags. On December 11, 2008, Anvil Press invites you to the launch of Jim Christy’s latest book titled Scalawags. This compilation, will fascinate you with “the historical lives of gamblers and adventurers, conmen and conwomen, rodomontades and ragamuffins, outright fools and outrageous liars”.
