Estée Lauder – Nutritious Collection (Available April 2013)

Pomegranate is known to be a “super food” for its nutritious and anti-oxident properties in both food and skincare.  In 2007, Estée Lauder launched “Nutritious”, which uses the benefits of Pomegranate in its products.  Now, taking Pomegranate to the next level, Estée Lauder has expanded to the new “Nutritious Collection”, which is powered by the proprietary “Pomegranate Nectar Infusion” which “combines ta blend of bio-converted Pomegranate and anti-oxidant-rich superberries, and helps detoxify irritants, neutralize environmental aggressors, and infuse skin with energy and vital nutrients.”  If you want to recharge your skin’s radiance, this is a one-size-fits-all collection (aka suitable for all skin types) that you’ll want to try.

There are currently four products in this collection.  There’s the Radiant Vitality 2-in-1 Foam Cleanser ($35), which can be used as a cleaner and a mask.  The Radiant Vitality Energy Lotion Intense Moist ($55) – my favourite product in this collection.  The Radiant Vitality Essence Oil ($50), which is a vitamin-boosting serum.  Lastly, there’s the Radiant Vitality 2-Step Treatment ($50), which is a detoxifying clay mask with a gel mask.  The clay mask deeply cleanses the pores and other impurities, while the gel masks replenishes and rebalances skin’s moisture levels.

My favourite product from this collection is the “Radiant Vitality Energy Lotion Intense Moist“, which has made it into my daily skincare routine. Translated from the beauty jargon, this product works like a toner.  The product uses the above-mentioned “Pomegranate Nectar Infusion” to infuse the skin with long-lasting hydration and anti-oxidants while preparing your skin to better absorb the benefits from the serum and moisturizer that you put on next.

The Radiant Vitality Energy Lotion Intense Moist is unlike any other toner I have ever tried before – its texture is slightly gel-like texture (rather than light and watery like most toners) and doesn’t give your skin a dry, tight, astringent feel.  In fact, after using the product, my skin feels moist and dewey, but not at all oily.

The new Nutritious Collection ranges from $35 to $50 and is available beginning April 2013 at select Estée Lauder counters at The Bay, Sears and Holt Renfrew.
