Yoga Pop Up Class June 21 2017

EVENT: YYoga Summer Solstice Pop-Up Class at Waterview Special Event Space

In recognition of International Day of Yoga, which also aligns with the summer solstic, Vancouver yoga studio YYoga will be hosting a special class for 150 participants on Wednesday June 21 at Waterview Special Event Space in Downtown Vancouver.  With an expansive view of the sun setting over False Creek, a unique 90-minute class will follow the sunset on the longest day of the year, with live music, custom aromatherapy, and dual instructors.

The class will be led by notable YYoga instructors Kate Gillespie and Jasmina Egeler. A special interpretation of their signature Flow class will align with the sun, culminating at the 9:22pm sunset.  Musician Alexandria Maillot will play a special live guitar set that progresses with each phase of the class, while Vancouver’s Saje Natural Wellness has designed a custom aromatherapy program with their Liquid Sunshine, Peppermint Halo, and Unwind scents.

Other event partners include 52 North,Culture Craft Kombucha, Manduka, Naked Snacks, SPUD, and Vega who will be providing refreshments and prizes.

  • WhereWaterview Special Event Space located on the 2nd floor of 1661 Granville Street.
  • WhenWednesday, June 21, 2017.  Doors open at 7:30pm and the 90-minute class begins at 8:00pm.
  • Admission:  The class is open to all experience levels and costs $20 per person. Reservations can be made online.
