Celebrate the Sweet Holidays with Faubourg’s Bûche de Noël

When it comes to the Christmas season, there is nothing like authentic Bûche de Noël to lift your holiday spirits. And for those who aren’t too familiar with what Bûche is? It’s a traditional French holiday dessert most commonly in the form of a Yule Log cake.

The annual collection of Bûche de Noël at Faubourg Paris have officially launched for the 2015 Holiday Season. This year, Head Pastry Chef, Ricardo Rosas, has created four to choose from:

  1. Milk Chocolate Passion Fruit Bûche: (a definite crowd-pleaser) – A milk chocolate mousse paired with a passionfruit crémeux and a Ceylon tea mousse over a vanilla sablé breton.
  1. Dark Chocolate and Coconut Bûche: (tastes just like paradise!) – A dark chocolate mousse paired with a coconut crémeux and an almond basil mousse over a chocolate sablé breton.
  1. Raspberry and Litchi Bûche: (the prettiest one of them all) Delectable gift boxes of raspberry and litchi mousse over a crunchy white chocolate base finished with fresh raspberries.
  1. The Traditional Yule Log: (the yule log is back for the fifth year in a row with a new twist) – A vanilla genoise filled with salted butter caramel and dark chocolate ganache, finished with a decorative chocolate bark and meringue mushrooms.

A Faubourg buche is a nice addition to your Christmas dinner’s dessert. It gives you and your loved ones something a little more special to enjoy together,” says Chef Ricardo when asked why these delightful Bûche cakes are a favourite for their customer year after year.

All four bûche options are priced from $35 (6 size that serves 6-8 people) to $57 (10size that serves 10-12 people). Orders can be made at all three Fauboug locations, such as Downtown, Kerrisdale, and Park Royal.  From now until December 6th, 2015, all orders placed enjoy 10% off their Bûche order.
