Bare Wax Bar (1828 W 1st Ave) recently hosted a lovely spring soiree featuring refreshing juices from Krokodile Pear, picture-perfect cookies from The Whisk and professional skin products from Dermalogica. Located in Kitsilano, Bare Wax Bar specializes in hair removal from head to toe with skin care rituals that make us excited to bare it all (yay for bikini season!).
During this event, we had the opportunity to spend some time with owner, Kimmy Le, and get to know more about this unique space.

Talking about your lady parts is not an easy thing to do with strangers. Prior to this soiree I really had little concept of what was involved with a brazilian. It doesn’t help that most waxing locations create encrypted names for their services with very little description. At Bare Wax Bar, I was relieved to find cheeky visuals that eloquently showed different types of waxing services. These cute and simple visuals covered different waxing looks from the “Bermuda Triangle” to the “Mowhawk”. Thankfully, no guessing required.

If you’re a first timer at this location, the Wax Addict Promo will get you $28 for your first Brazilian. Following that, appointments re-booked within 5 weeks are $34. A bit of desktop research will quickly reveal this is easily one of the best deals in town.

With big windows, brightly lit walls and a relaxing, elegant atmosphere, Bare Wax Brow is a no-fuss kind of location that focuses that has easily become one of my new go-to places. Congratulations to this awesome little spot as they head into their second summer in Kitsilano!
