PHILLIPS Snowcase Calendar – Victoria-based Phillips Brewing Co. is celebrating the holiday season with the Snowcase Calendar, a 24 craft beer pack designed to give your taste buds a daily treat right up to Christmas. Beers include full-time favourites, special seasonals, and even some barrel-aged releases. I haven’t been able to find a list of where this is available, but try checking your local liquor store where ever you usually buy your Phillips Beer.
STARBUCKS Tin & Chalkboard Calendar – This year, Starbucks has an advent calendar made up of different sized tins numbered from 1 to 24 on a magnetic chalkboard. Sweet caramel treats fill each tin and on December 25, a $5 Starbucks Gift Card awaits you. I love how you can reuse the tins after the holidays; as a spice rack, maybe?
Leonidas Belgian Chocolates Advent Calendar – Located at Waterfront (by the new Vancouver Convention Center), Leonidas is known for its Belgian chocolates and other sweet treats. For $45, you can pick 24 individual chocolates to include in your advent calendar. Not sure why there are dogs on the packaging, it could be misleading for a different type of treat! An alternative advent calendar available at Leonidas is a triangular box, with a snowflake design on each daily slot.
SEARS Wooden House – Unlike the other advent calendars in this list, this Nordic-inspired wooden house from Sears with mini door compartments allows you to customize with your own treats and trinkets. You’ll be able to use it year after year in your countdown to Christmas. Some suggestions of what to put inside include mini nailpolish, earrings and other small accessories, and caramels (like these from 1up caramels).
