This Wednesday, the 5th annual Compassion into Action food bank fundraiser will take place again at the Vancouver Art Gallery’s Georgia Street Plaza. Stop by between 7am to 3pm and check out the pop-up organic café and marketplace where Vancouverites can purchase delicious local organic food by donation to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.  Vendors include: Nature’s Path, Que Pasa Mexican Foods, Happy Planet, Ethical Bean, Save on Meats, Silver Hills Bakery, Terra Breads, Two Daughters Bakeshop, Whole Foods Market, Joe’s No Frills, God’s Little Acre and Witzke’s Farm.

  • For every $1 spent at Compassion Into Action, the food bank can buy $3 worth of food for the hungry.
  • The Food Bank does not receive government funding and is solely dependent on donations to feed the need.
